at our SeaLab facility, each hands-on education program is designed
for a specific age group. The Wonderful Wetlands is a three-hour
program. All other programs are two hours in length. Contact

Shake a tail feather and walk like a duck as you join us to examine
and identify various beaks, feet, and feathers of birds from the
Gulf of Mexico.

Join us and learn buoyancy principles and discover what boats
and fish have in common. You'll test the buoyancy of a canoe and
learn to wear a personal flotation device.

Study the anatomy of fish and learn the importance of resource
management. Then wet a line and try your luck at fishing.

Amazing marine populations await your discovery when you examine
and classify the microscopic and larger communities on a variety
of hard surfaces.

Wonderful Wetlands
Grades 9-12
Students will enjoy this opportunity to study flora and fauna
when they take a canoe trip to an actual spoil island. Participants
must wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared to get wet and muddy.
An alternate, indoor program will be provided in case of foul
weather.
